What does it do? This mod will give you slightly better airflow into the cylinder thus providing more power.

How does it work? Incoming air-fuel mixtures need a decent flow path for optimum performance and atomization of the fuel. The better the mixture and the easier you make the path for it, the more power you will attain.

Step 1:

Remove the cam intake box, carb, and intake manifold via the 8mm bolts that connect the intake manifold to the
cylinder head.

Step 2:

Break out your porting tools; Dremel, air die grinder or electric die grinder (too big in my opinion for this job), etc.
Pick either a thin mounted point grinding stone, thin cartridge roll, or carbide burr to do your work.

Step 3:

Port it. Begin as far inside the manifold as you can from either side so as not to mess up the inlet and outlet cross-sectional area/shape. Work the short-side radius enlarging while removing any casting flaws. Move out towards the openings and enlarge them slightly while keeping them round. After you've achieved the desired enlargement, you want to leave the walls somewhat rough. This will provide some turbulence to aid in atomizing the air-fuel mixture.

Porting Tip: It's difficult explaining exactly what to do or how to do it. Use common sense and try to maintain the original shape throughout the length of the manifold and you'll be fine. DO NOT take off a ton of material here; we're not hogging it out, just enlarging.
